AutomatID Privacy Policy

Opentech.com built AutomatID as a Commercial app and service. AutomatID is provided by Opentech.com and is intended for use as is.

This page is used to inform users regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decided to use AutomatID.

If you choose to use AutomatID, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy, as described below.

Information Collection and Use​

While using AutomatID, we process on our systems certain personally identifiable information, including but not limited to:

  • ID document information
  • Facial photos of the User
  • Credit/Debit card data (Android only)

Such information are not stored on our systems.

In the Android and iOS apps, the following permissions are required:

  • Camera: AutomatID needs access to the camera to perform optical character recognition (OCR) of the identity document and to perform a liveness check of the user by acquiring their facial features
  • NFC: AutomatID needs access to the NFC transceiver of the device to read the identity document/payment card data.

Additionally, whenever you use AutomatID, we collect metrics called Log Data to Opentech.com. This Log Data may include information about the performance and utilization of the Service and about your device, including but not limited to your device Internet Protocol ("IP") address, device model, operating system version, the configuration of the app when utilizing our Service, the time and date of your use of the Service, issues encountered during the usage and other statistics. Opentech.com uses this data for billing purposes, to measure performance, debug, maintain and improve the Service, and detect misuse or abuse.

All of the user data collected by our Service is encrypted in transit and at rest.

Users can request that their data is deleted by contacting Opentech.com.

Service Providers​

We may employ services provided by Amazon Web Services (AWS) for the following reasons:

  • To facilitate our Service; or
  • To perform Service-related services.

We want to inform users of this Service that this third party may have access to their Personal Information. The reason is to perform the tasks assigned to them on our behalf. However, they are obligated not to disclose or use the information for any other purpose.

Security​

We value your trust in providing us your Personal Information, thus we are striving to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. All of the user data collected by our Service is encrypted in transit. Opentech.com is a certified PCI-DSS company.

Changes to This Privacy Policy​

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
